Bridge Humanities Corps 2017 - 2018 Cohort Announcement

The Graduate School along with the Office of the Provost and the College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 cohort of the Bridge Humanities Corps. This program aims to provide advanced doctoral students and newly minted PhDs with advanced training in humanities programming and professional development. 

The 2017-2018 Bridge Humanities Corps represents five departments from the College of Arts and Sciences and includes three ABD students and five newly minted PhDs:
                        Stephanie Boone-Mosher, PhD English
                        Katherine Crosby, History
                        Marc Demont, PhD Languages, Literatures & Cultures
                        Andrew Kettler, PhD History
                        Stephen O’Hara, History
                        Neal Polhemus, PhD History
                        Derek Silva, Sociology
                        Ryan Strickler, PhD Political Science 

ABD Corps members are awarded a $21,500 stipend, tuition abatement for special enrollment (Z status), and health insurance. These Corps members will teach four sections (a 2:2 load) of SAEL 200, or its Carolina Core equivalent, during the 2017-2018 academic year.

Newly minted PhD Corps members are awarded a $32,500 salary and health insurance access. PhDs will teach six sections (a 3:3 load) of SAEL 200, or its Carolina Core equivalent, over the course of the 2017-2018 academic year.
