Columbia Attractions

The Columbia Metropolitan area offers a dazzling array of activities and attractions when you're not busy studying on campus. Five Points

If you're looking for a good meal, a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, or coffee with your friends, Five Points is the place for you. Just a stone's throw from campus, historic Five Points offers a variety of restaurants, shops, and nightlife.

The Congaree Vista

A little bit of upscale sophistication and a dash of friendly Columbia spirit is what you'll find in the Vista. With its variety of shops, galleries, restaurants, and clubs, you won't have any trouble finding the heart of Columbia here.

The Colonial Center

The Colonial Center is the largest arena in the state of South Carolina with 18,000 seats, and the tenth largest on-campus basketball facility in the nation. Located on the beautiful University of South Carolina campus, this state-of-the-art facility also features plush seating and a technologically advanced sound system that will delight fans of all ages.

South Carolina State Museum

Located in the Vista, this dynamic museum features exciting exhibitions about South Carolina's history and culture.

The Koger Center for the Arts

The Koger Center for the Arts is located on the University of South Carolina campus. The center is the home of the South Carolina Philharmonic, and is also used for other functions such as The State of the State Address, The South Carolina Body Building Championships, The South Carolina Science Fair, Freshman Orientation, and The Conductor's Institute.
